Make your own espadrilles

Espadrilles are perfect for summer or as comfortable house shoes.

In this class you will select the inner and outer material for your shoes from a wide range of fabrics (or you can bring your own), cut out the pattern, and sew it together and then pin and sew to the sole of the shoe.

Come for a friendly and relaxing afternoon and leave with a new  pair of espadrilles – we will even provide tea, coffee and cake!

What is included

  • We cater for 3 – 6 people.
  • All of the materials and tools, including
    • lovely, soft linen for the lining material,
    • a wide choice of outer materials in a range of colours and patterns and
    • an assortment of threads and needles
  • Supportive and friendly tuition.
  • Printed instructions
  • And, of course,  the jute espadrille soles

Length of workshop

The class will last for around 3 hours, and you should finish a pair of espadrilles in that time, but if not, will have everything you need to finish them off at home.
